Thanks Steve,
Yes, it is a 72W unit. The screen doesn't flicker, but it
scares the bejesus out of me.
In the mean time I have just purchased a new 72W unit from
eBay for 10 UKP (18 dollars).
What is the situation regarding warranty when you purchase
a 2nd hand (albeit new) TP off eBay, does the IBM warranty
still apply?
Another weird thing... The machine was new, I mean really
new. I had to break the seal on the box, TP and all the
accessories. But I noticed something strange when I opened
the machine -- the keyboard seemed to be raised a little
(not so much as to rub the screen). I pushed it, and it
went down. I looked on the bottom of the machine and there
was/is not a single screw fitted to the underside (apart
from the memory/miniPCI hatch). If my warranty is valid
then I would appreciate a set of screws!!!
Regards,
Peter
