Easy fix: get rid of the RAMdisk.
On modern virtual memory systems, a RAMdisk almost always does more harm
than good, unless you have a particular special need for it. You're just
taking memory away from Windows, which causes more disk thrashing.
RAMdisks are basically a holdover from the DOS days, when DOS couldn't do
anything very useful with all your memory. Now, Windows can do something
more useful with the memory.
Do you *need* the RAMdisk?
