Re: [Thinkpad] Reasonable memory

I've bought ram from the Geeks before, and about 80% of the time it works
fine out of the package, though most pieces are used system pulls. In the
long run, good ram is just a tad more expensive than cheap ram, if you have
to return even one piece of the chintzy stuff.
Two of my three Thinkpads have matched sticks of IBM certified memory, while
one has two different brand 512 sticks. One of those came from the Geeks,
though I waited until they had new ram available, and it was branded, albeit
not by IBM.

Suggestion is to buy good ram from a reputable company, and never worry
about "cheap" memory causing any hiccups.

Price is one thing, value is another.

YMMV

Matt
