I have a thinkpad 560 (regular) with a nice beautiful TFT 11" LCD
screen, and I have a TP560x with a not-quite-as-good TPA (I think
thats what its called) 12.1" screen.. now, both will fit, but, I tried
putting the TPA screen on my 560 regular and , didn't get very good
results. Wouldn't boot , and constantly turned itself on and off. I
put the old TFT back on it and found that all was fine.
However, I would still like to replace the screen on my 560x to a TFT
somehow. Can I purchase a TFT off of ebay for the thinkpad 560x and
place it in there? Are there any ways to force the old TFT into this
one?
I replaced the motherboard a while ago to a 70U version, and didn't
have any worries, so its a full blown p233 mmx. I also have a 64
megabyte stick for the laptop arriving in the mail soon.
So, does anyone know if switching screens is possible? (even JUST a
12.1" tp560x HPA screen for a 12.1" tp560x TFT , AND if all the
plastics are included / as well as the inverter).
Thanks!
