Kris, I think you have missed the point.
It is quite obviously a stolen identity. It has all the classic signs:
1. a relatively inactive account suddenly has 50 or more high end items for
sale, all brand new
2. They are all private auctions, which is done so that the buyers and
bidders can not be warned by experienced users who can spot this stuff
instantly.
3. Half the specs on the "new" machines are wrong, many of them have the
wrong pictures.
4. It is Labor Day here, business are generally CLOSED. People are not
generally on line to buy on a Holiday.
The last feedback is from Feb, and it is for a $10.00 purchase
There are no feedbacks before than since last year.
It is only high end electronics being sold. That is the scammers way. And
the prices for buy it now are too low. One ad, you might get lucky, 50 ads
you are getting mugged.
As far as the "bidder", there are "Ebay Police" who delight in screwing with
these creeps. Ebay won't even respond for at least 24 hours, and in my Law
Enforcement experience, they will DUCK and HIDE to avoid liability!!!!
This is a fake, you can bet your life on it, the the bidder who took down
the auctions did the right thing.
If it looks too good to be true, it is.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck (unless of
course it's a swan, but that is another story indeed).
