[Thinkpad] life without Internet Explorer

I've been living without Internet Explorer for years and have noticed
few problems. My 560x is running Win98 Lite on an 800 Mb solid state drive.
The Windows help files don't work (but they were usually not much help
anyway).
A 3-Com wireless card utility that drew a cute little animation showing
the data flowing from the card to the wireless access point doesn't work.
I should mention that I am more cyber-luddite than power user, if you
like to use the latest software with all the features you might find
more problems.
But then you would probably have more than 800 Mb of C: drive....

technology is the answer, what was the question?
