Nope, I didn't misunderstand. We had a nice long conversation about it. They said the "screen" (whatever this actually meant) is backordered until Feburary 2005. They said that I could agree to accept a 1024x768 XGA, and then in February 2005, I could send the machine in a second time and they'd give me the SVGA. Since I said this wouldn't work for me, they escalated the call "to a manager," and now I'm waiting to see what happens in that step.
