Remember that the warrantee is being handled by the quasi-autonomous
EZ-serve, who for some reason (eg, internal accounting)
might not want to order the part now from Boulder - possibly they're waiting
for their regular biannual bulk purchase. In this case, escalating
out of the shop to IBM *might* be the only solution (other than just fixing
it oneself), even if it seems boneheaded.
