Those of us who have had several ThinkPads over the years know these
fundamental truths about IBM/EZ-serve:
(1) On those occasions when IBM service is bad, it is often
spectacularly bad - no half-measures with Big Blue!
(2) When EZ-serve went independent, quality of service dropped markedly
(3) As bad as it can be, it is still usually completely effortless, and
*miles better than all of the competition* - there are sometimes reasons
to
choose an alternative to a ThinkPad, but better service is not one of
them.
