Hey, the point is, this guy was up here ranting that he was being lied to
and getting ripped off and beat out of his hi res screen. He was wrong,
there was some misinformation, but they were actually trying very hard to
accomodate him.
I have a 600X in my shop for two months. The customer dropped it and screwed
up the printer port, and I was unable to come up with a viable replacement
system board (bought two, both had bad IDE controllers).
So I lent her a 760XL, she uses a DOS app and that machine works fine. I was
not intending to trade her a 760 for a 600X, I was accomodating her needs
until I could fix the machine, which I have NOW done. This is my
interpretation of IBM;s intentions.
