[Thinkpad] T20 hard drive upgrade problem

Hello,

I have an older 4200rpm drive in my system currently and wanted to upgrade
to a faster 5400rpm drive, which I already own. I took the drive image from
the old drive and put it on the new drive but when I put the new drive into
the Thinkpad, it would not boot. I looked at the BIOS summary screen and it
recognized the drive correctly. I also verified the new drive by using it to
boot another (non-T20) system. I upgraded to the latest BIOS v1.22 and
checked for firmware updates on the new hard drive. None of these seems to
fix my problem.

Any ideas why the 5400rpm drive doesn't work in my T20?
