I had a problem with AC power dropping on my A31P. the fist time it
happened I took it to be serviced and they ended up replacing my
system board and my power cord. the second time, I ordered a new
power cord by phone. but the next day it had fixed itself (so I
returned the cord). I figured the power socket must be loosely or
intermittently connected. today it happened again and I finally
figured it out: the AC will be cut off if the block on the cord
overheats (it'd gotten covered by a blanket (and was probably a fire
hazard)).
maybe everyone knows, but I don't think it was ever mentioned when I
was inquiring about these issues previously. unplug it, cool it off,
and keep it clear and ventilated.
