Great timing for this question, Paul. I believe I complained to you just last week that
the display on my X21 started getting dim just after the warranty expired with put my
having the $$ to extend it. After fiddling with brightness and power management settings
numerous times, I became convinced that it was shot. But today, in Access Thinkpad, I
discovered that the display had somehow become set at just slightly higher than
half-brightness even on AC power. Hurray... I can see my screen again!
