[Thinkpad] (no subject)

I have a IBM G96 19" monitor that I hook up to my Thinkpad. As of late, the
screen stays blank. The hookup is good and the thinkpad video works on
other monitors. The light indicator on the monitor seems to function
correctly, but the screen is not coming on. This appears not to have
anything to do with contrast or brightness. Can anyone point me in the
right direction in my attempt to repair the monitor - or is it a loss?
