[Thinkpad] X40 Purchasing questions

I'm helping a friend buy a new laptop, and am almost certain the X40 is
the right box for her.

Was just wondering if anyone could point out any concerns I should have on
purchasing, or suggestions on great places to go.

Right now the ebay stores are looking the best as they are way cheaper
than ibm.com... but of course, that kind of scares me as to why they're so
much cheaper.

I'm guessing they have the slightly older P-M's (though still ultra-low
wattage)?
