[Thinkpad] kernel 2.6.10 and ultrabay

Kernel 2.6.10 came with Santa with lots of nice improvements for
Thinkpads (most for ACPI) including support for ultrabay hotswapping
(swapping ide CDrom and HD for instance).
Previously, the "normal" behaviour was :
. the thinkpad starts beeping when you remove the device after
running hotswap and would never stop until you plug it back in (APM
version)
. you can safely remove the present device, but the inserted one is not
"detected" or at least handled properly. HD are handled by ide-generic
and not ide-disk so no DMA options are possible and access is slow, etc
(ACPI version)

2.6.10 should allow us to swap device. However, it seems that hotswap is
unable to deregister the device properly. Any feedback about how to use
this ACPI improvement ?

PS: I have 2 R40, supported, laptops.
