That makes sense, but my wife seems to find a way to sit with weight on the
pcmcia cards antenna every time, the thing is falling apart. I also like
the fact that there is no weak, ugly hunk of plastic sticking out the side
of my sleek black computer. I keep my 3com combo to swap if I need the
network card for pci, but when windows is up, I have an Intel/Xircom type 3
card that fits completely inside the card slot, nice clean solution It goes
in for large file transfers and when I'm somewhere without wireless.

I don't see what the big deal is on internal wireless; the T23 has two
pc-card slots, pc-card wireless adapters are reasonably cheap, and this
way you don't get locked into one standard. (Regular networking is
another matter, it is very useful not to need card and socket services
loaded for the machine to see a net card.)
