I just had the plastics of an A31P changed there, and it came back with no antenna

  This, IMHO, was a bizarre bit of engineering on the part of IBM. Why they
  didn't just go ahead and install the antennae in _ALL_ A3X displays (a la'
  the T30) is beyond me. Ergo all of the 14.1" (XGA and SXGA+) displays and
  15" (XGA, SXGA+ and UXGA) displays are available both with and without WiFi
  antennae.

  I have heard through the grapevine that EZServe (Solectron), in an effort to
  cut back on the number of parts they need to warehouse, has made the
  decision to _only_ stock displays with the WiFi antennae for these models.
