[Thinkpad] A30p using two docking stations

Me again,

Running Windows 2k on my A30p, I have an enhanced docking station at home,
and have bought another to have at the office (both in new working order).

Is this doable? I ask because after trying this yesterday, after undocking
from the one at the office, upon booting the next time at home on that dock,
Windows 2000 grashed and burned (fouled registry).

Any thoughts here folks?
