Interesting. Just to test this, I tried to get the 760 HMM from the
page you gave in your post,
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=PFAN-3TJKLN

The response I got was, "The document you have requested does not exist
on this system."

If it requires me to go in through my own TP pages, then this is
terrible website functionality. I have 4 thinkpads, none of them a 760
(or R40 for that matter), does this mean I don't qualify as having a
legitimate interest in the 760 or R40 HMM? (FWIW, I found the latter
elsewhere.)

Incidentally, the ftp sites let me in no problem with an ftp client
without password, it just shows the directories as empty. (This was not
the case last time I looked, a couple of months ago.)
