I just went to the same webpage, right clicked on the link for the
vol4hmm.pdf and had no problems starting the download.

No, that's not what I meant. Just start at the main support page, select
Thinkpads and Workpads in the dropdown menu, then just drill down through
the models until you find the one you're interested in.

But! They've taken a LOT of models out of the matrix, especially most of the
older systems including all of the 760s and 75Xs. But a lot of these
documents can still be found via other means.

Yep, you can get in, but you can't see anything! You need a password for the
files to appear.
