I recently purchased an A31 Thinkpad and I noticed that the battery did not last long (~30 min). So I decided to purchase a NEW battery. When the NEW battery arrived, I discovered that it did not fit my A31!
Apparently there are two sizes of A31 batteries. One is 10.8 volts, 4AH and is ~8.5" long and one is 10.8 volts, 5.4AH and is 10.5" long. The battery I ordered was the long one and my A31 uses the shorter one! When I contacted the firm I purchased it from, they wanted a 15% restocking fee and they were "out of stock" on the battery I need!
So I decided to offer it here first before I send it back. The battery is brand new, never used and may be used on other models of Thinkpad. I am asking $50.00 plus shipping via USPS second day which is most probably around $7.00. If interested let me know. Attached is a photo of the battery; it is a 10.8 volts, 5.4AH, fru 02k6614, 02k6615, 02k6619; ASM 02k6612, 02k6640.
