[Thinkpad] Travelstar Drive Noise

I have a Travelstar 80GB that intermittently went into fits of once per
second "ticking". Passed DFT fine, and Hitachi tech support sent me a
firmware update (they seemed aware of the problem). Only a few hours on it
so far, but no ticking so far all seeks are *much* quieter.
