Have you used drivespace on your drive? The P233 in your machine is
sufficiently fast that the coding/decoding overhead is less than the
time saving in transferring fewer bytes to and from the disk even with a
regular HD; you might see a visible speedup on the flash.
To maintain DOS and LINUX access you could split your drive and compress
just half of it; this is what I do with all my W9x machines.
