OK I found this function and changed to the Fraunhofer codec
without effect. However I cannot see why this should have any
effect as the Fraunhofer is an audio not a video codec. The
diagnostic message reports a video card error.
On my 600E I have set display to 16 bit, DMA-enabled and
hardware acceleration. Fusionsoft will not operate, reporting
that the video card is incompatible.
I can play a DVD in Zoom Player and VideoLAN but the
motion is very jerky and the audio soon loses sync. So at
the moment I have no satisfactory software method to play
DVDs. (This machine used to work fine under Windows98
with Mediamatics DVD Express but for some reason I cannot
upgrade this software even though the original s/w is on the
machine and I have the upgrade package. It reports it cannot
find the original version.)
Anyone with more ideas please send on.
