[Thinkpad] OT: More cleanup questions (W2K)

I recall reading somewhere that various MS fix and upgrade install files remain
on the hard drive even after install and these source files are deletable if one
does not wish to back out of the fix/upgrade. I'd appreciate pointers to the
locations and and ideas or gotchas about this process. I think this must be
where a lot of my file space is disappearing to.
