Just curious. Did you go though Add/Remove Programs before the upgrade, in
order to remove the things that wouldn't migrate successfully to the new os?
That could have save some space from the get-go.
MS had a webpage devoted to the migration/upgrade process that had many apps
listed that would and would not "make" the upgrade without any adjustments.
Many apps that worked under W98 wouldn't under the W2000/NT kernel and
needed upgrading.
It's been a while since I upgraded a legacy system, but I recall the
challenges.
