How is it an improvement over Drive Image?
I looked at Norton Ghost 10 (the official successor to DI7 because
Symantec bought the company) and it had one improvement - you could
control the resources, so speed up backup at the cost of other running
programs - and one backward step - no control over degree of compression.
I didn't see that much difference but was most annoyed that Ghost 10 will
not restore DI7 images even though they use similar file naming.
One serious problem I have with both is that they can not restore from
certain of my USB drives even though the computer's BIOS sees them fine
and even offers them as optional boot devices.
