Any card that can be physically inserted into the machine should 'work'.
I'm pretty sure this machine is a cardbus-compatible machine using the
Texas instruments PCI-1130 controller.
If I am wrong and it is not a cardbus machine, then a cardbus card
cannot even be inserted (well, without force and breakage).
Now, the bad news.is that the PCI-1130 cardbus controller is very picky
under versions of windows prior to Windows 98SE, and even then the
drivers need to be very carefully set (forget plug and play). The main
reason I upgraded one machine from W95OS2 to 98SE on a TP560X was to get
an obstreperous ethernet card recognised.
The controller has no problem with non-cardbus (16 bit) cards; look for
legacy NE2000-compatible cards for greatest compatibility. I could sell
you one cheap, but mine are in a box in storage 4000 miles from where I
am now. Alternately, upgrade your OS to something modern.
