This is common in lots of industries, and is a way to make more money on newer equipment (the A22). The 560X price may, in fact, have never changed from 199x when the 560x was new. So now that we all know, if we need an A22 battery, we'll order the other part!
ObAnecdote: 30 years ago, my uncle worked for a VW/Porsche dealership. His manager had an "illegal" cross-reference of Porsche to VW parts, and would buy VW parts to install in Porsches at Porsche prices.
Nobody at the consumer end likes this, of course, but it's a free market, sorta...
