Bruce will (can) chime in on the particulars, and employing legal parlance:
asked and answered, i.e. this has been raised on this forum in the past, but
the quick answer is: No. As to details: the board configuration is slightly
different wrt the usage/placement of certain accessible resources, in
particular the IR,audio jacks (i.e. the chassis/case holes do not align). A
few other issues aside, the biggest SNAFU (IMO) was the lack of a Mini PCI
access (i.e. no cover at all on the 600E chassis). While some 'astute'
observer might chime in: Who cares?, the logistics as it pertains to the mb
insertion into the chassis is that it requires the depth made available by
that opening, i.e. w/o the opening you are flexing the mb when you bolt it
down. Not a good thing, IMO.
I would 'advise' the utilization of a 600X 'chassis', i.e. bottom half =
chassis/motherboard for 600X, with keyboard and top half (LCD) = 600E.
This can 'happen' without too much effort.
Good Luck!
