If you can get SUSE working, you can probably get WEBMIN installed
http://www.webmin.com ,
although you might have to do some sneakernetting until you get your
network going.
The thing with Linux is that all the capbilities are there, but it is
often VERY difficult to discover where they are and how to manipulate them.
Webmin provides a basic, usable UI for 90% of all Linux admin tasks.
I've even got it running on headless machines that have no other UI
installed.
Once you install Webmin, you open a web browser pointed to port 10000 on
your linux machine
( http://192.168.1.2:10000 for example, or http://localhost:10000 )
From there, things are pretty straightforward.
