This is what I have in my maint.bat which is run by a windows scheduled tasks under my domain username.
@echo off
rem defrag -v c:
"c:\windows\system32\cleanmgr /sagerun:64"
You will need to run c:\windows\system32\cleanmgr /sageset:64 and select items that you want to clean.

Subject: [Thinkpad] Automatic Clean Up
I am trying to set up a few Thinkpads and some NetVistas to do some
automatic tasks.
I want to do a Disk Cleanup followed by a disk defrag, and finish up
with a virus and spyware check. A little later, I may want to finish
this series with a system backup. I want to do this all at night
without a soul or an accompanying live carcass being present
Problem is:
The Windows Disk Cleanup applet requires some interaction (i.e. you need
to tell it to do the cleanup after it find the crap you want to rid
yourself of.
The disk defrager does not seem to like to be run off the command
prompt.
The rest seems to run fine without having any form of interaction.
IBM/Lenovo has a package called Away Manager which I have attempted to
use to do these tasks. I have also used the Windows Scheduler. Both do
not seem to run the tasks automatically. What are my options? Are
there other tools I can use to do this or is there a command line key-in
that will do the tasks automatically as I described above?
Second question:
What tools would you use for the following?
Disk Cleanup (Norton Cleanup or CleanSweep, Windows Disk Cleaner -
other)
Disk Defragmenter (Norton Disk Optimizer, Windows Defrag - other)
Virus Checking (Norton Anti-virus - other)
Spyware Remover (SpyBot, Adware, MS Anti-Span or Defender - other)
System Backup (Norton GoBack or Ghost, ThinkVantage Rescue and recovery,
or the Windows backup tools - other)
Thanks,
