   i've also a 380ED and recently try to get a pcmcia ethernet card
   that works, but after buy 2 cards and none of them work, i researh
   and research and research until know that the pcmcia slot of the
   380ED only support pcmcia cards of 16bits, not 32bits

   maybe is this the problem, because as far as i know, the Xircom
   card that you have is a 16bits card (correct me if i wrong)
