DBAN is a bazooka when a knife will do the job. So are all the other
titles suggested.
He's not selling a drive with personal information. He wants to use a
drive and be sure it doesn't have anything on it. Fdisk will do exactly
what is needed and no more.
And I hope the risk you mean to imply is that the drive might be
unreliable, and not that it's infected.
