[Thinkpad] T30 Primary Drive Detection Problem ... Suggestions Welcome

Hello:

My symptoms:

A drive which was running fine in the primary location is properly detected
in the (Second Drive) UltraBay (i.e. loads the OS), but not in the primary
bay. When placed in the primary bay, a drive detection utility indicates
that no drives are present. The drive led is permanently lit.
