Hi All

Helping set up my Partners recently acquired used T42 (2373 CT0) which
seems to have a fault with the CDRW/DVD drive. There was no Installation
disk with it when it came from an Ebay seller in UK, although it did come
in its original IBM box... Anyway, I have installed XP Pro SP1 and all the
drivers from the IBM Drivers matrix webpage that seem relevant for
everything, except that the cdrw/dvd doesn't read *any* disk I try.

It appears in the devices list as a Matshita UJDA745. Is it likely I am
still short of a driver for this? Or is it just plain and simply faulty?

It appears there is 2 years of warranty left, but are removable devices
covered?

Many thanks for any help

Mark
