Hello.
I was recommened this site from Sharedoc in www.wimsbios.com.
I need your help.
I have ThinkPad 600x-2645-3ek non SpeedStepping Model.
1. I exchanged CPU PIII 450Mhz to PIII 650Mhz.
2. I installed WinXP without battery. It stopped during installation
WinXP with battery.
I don¡¯t know why it stopped when install WinXP with battery.
Q1) I heard that the reason about stopping during installation WinXP with
battery is design error in ThinkPad 600x. Is it right?
There was no problem during installation WinXP in CPU PIII 450 Mhz with
battery. (I have 512MB PC100 RAM)
3. It happened another problem after installation WinXP without
battery.
It stopped during booting. (Booting went well in CPU PIII450Mhz.)
So I pushed the button Fn+F2 then it went well.
Q2) Why booting stop after changing CPU? To use WinXP in my
ThinkPad 600x, do I push the button Fn+F2 every booting?
Is there any way to success booting without stopping?
I¡¯m not good in English. Maybe you have a problem to read this text. I¡¯m
so sorry.
I want to have a solution to use WinXP in my ThinkPad 600x without any
problem.
