[Thinkpad] Memory upgrade

I am about to upgrade the memory for 3 TP R52s. They all currently have 512MB, which IBM says is PC2-4200 CL4 SDRAM 200-pin non-parity SoDIMM 533HMz. Crucial gives me the following options:
DDR2 PC2-4200 • CL=4 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-533 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64
DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 128Meg x 64

1 machine is used by a power user who could use the 2GB max memory. The other two probably don't need that, especially at +$300. Is there really going to be a noticeable difference between 533 MHz and 667 MHz?
My choices:
Replace the power user 512 4200 with 2GB 4200 or 5300, put the existing power user's 512 4200 into one of the other 2 machines, giving it 1 GB, and get another 512 of 4200 for the other user.
Move everybody to 5300
Thanks for your input
