Hello,

One thing I noticed with the Aero Glass interface enabled is that the fan in
my T43p starts up earlier and runs more frequent (or even always). I assumed
this is a result of increased use of the GPU by the operating system to handle
the accelerated 3-D graphics functions, as well as a result of Vista's larger
footprint. There may also be some issues due to the immaturity of the power
management subsystem.

Stopping the 'Desktop Window Manager Session Manager' and 'Themes' services
disables Aero Glass interface, which seems to help. Simply selecting the
"Classic" user interface leaves these services running.
