I have no idea why the other programs would change the partition
structure, but I'd recommend trying another program. Acronis True Image
has worked perfectly for me where other programs didn't. You can
download a free trial copy at acronis.com, and it will take little of
your or your laptop's time. Just select Automatic and let it do its thing.
