I assume you're out of warranty? Everyone but me seems to be able to get
cracked bezels etc replaced under warranty.
The plastics on ThinkPads are ABS plastics, and the natural glues for
them is ABS solvent adhesives (often sold in the plumbing section of
hardware stores, but not to be confused with PVC solvent adhesives).
This is usually a black pretty close to ThinkPad black, though it *is* a
bit shiny. I used this to repair a latch on a 560 years ago (under
warranty, but IBM refused to repair it), it held for years (is still
holding, in fact).
BTW, my X30 keyboard bezel has bad cracks on either side, just to the
bottom left of the Fn key and to the bottom right of the -> key. These
developed over the years from carrying the TP (while open) by the wrist
rest. After I make the certainly futile effort to get IBM to fix it (I
have a bit of warranty left), I'll probably just buy a new bezel (around
$30 from Boulder when I checked).
