Hello,
Perhaps the TCP/IP stack's settings have been corrupted and/or damaged.
If this is the case, that might explain why problems continue to occur
even after removing the network interfaces from the Device Manager and
letting the operating system re-detect them.
If the computer is running Microsoft Windows XP SP2 you can reset the
TCP/IP stack by issuing a:
%windir%\SYSTEM32\NETSH.EXE INT IP RESET C:\RESET.LOG
command at a Command Prompt to solve the problem. You can specify any
valid name or path for the log file at the end of the command, but one
does have to be present or it will not work.
