Unlike [Smartmedia MMC, SD, Memorystick] PCMCIA adapters, CF PCMCIA adapters
have no electronics in them, they just connect the recpticles in the CF card
to the coresponding pins in the PCMCIA socket.

The CF card itself has the electronics to make it emulate an IDE drive.
