IBM sold a few ThinkPads with Linux, and way back when, a couple with AIX
(and SCSI hard drives).

I suggest you call their Australian sales number: 1300 557 073 and ask
for one. You might get one. If you can't, see if you can get one with no
OS, and find your local Linux user group. I'm sure they'll be happy to
help you install and configure it.
