worries me; MS may take everything down at some point. It is my
policy to have no dealings with a firm that takes down old patches
and drivers>>
I don't think that the problem will be that drivers and patches that
exist now will disappear, but rather that after the deprecation date in
2010 newly-found security holes will not get plugged. Even if "windows
update" no longer patches W2K (the situation now for W9x), all the
patches for the OS up to the time of deprecation will be available
_somewhere_ (possibly in the next incarnation of autopatcher, which MS
maliciously killed at the end of August).
