This claim doesn't hold up. You can't possibly troubleshoot the depths of
even Windows 2000. It's much too complex. You don't get to know what's
going on and you never will - by design, on purpose. I'm sure you are
capable enough to get it running again, but you'll never know it as well
as that old VW.
I challenge you to put your time and effort into living up to this claim.
Remove Windows and even Microsoft DOS altogether. Install IBM-DOS or
FreeDOS, and Linux or FreeBSD. There are a lot of us who would be happy to
help.
Linux can easily run the simple Windows titles too - at least the ones
you've listed so far. Come on, join us, the water's fine. Welcome.
