Norton and AVG are not compatible. Get rid of Norton

Due to the excellent results obtained with NSW WinDoctor on my W2K
partition, I got a copy of NSW Basic Edition V 10 for daughter's XP
T43.
At install warning came up that it is incompatible with AVG.
Does anyone have experience with this? I can find no anti-virus
module in NSW so can't see a reason for a conflict.
Thanks for any ideas.
