Actually the majority of X3*s didn't come with integrated bluetooth.
Same with X4*s and even T4*s. Bluetooth was generally included only on
higher-end models, and was an available option on the rest.

I never tried a CF BT card on my X32, but my experience with a USB BT
dongle convinced me the best option by far is to buy and install an
internal Bluetooth modem card and replace the internal modem card with
it. The card, antenna, and replacement faceplate can be had on eBay for
<$50 from sellers such as Old Egg. Mine works great even though I routed
the antenna around the compartment under the keyboard (not wanting to
get involved with disassembling the LCD cover to mount it there). The
BMDC is a much better and more reliable solution than a USB BT dongle -
and I would imagine also a CF BT card - and eliminates giving up a USB
or CF slot.
