> 1) Is Turbo Memory worth having
Based on tests I've read, only benefit so far is a little battery life (e.g., a few minutes out of 4 hours). But all say YMMV.
On the Lenovo blog, a senior guy there said he preferred the wireless adapter with the Atheros chip over the Intel wireless card. Better range, less trouble. I've used both and found that to be a little true but not significantly, i.e., the signal strength difference was <10% which could be accounted for by the weather.
Pricing also seems to vary greatly at Lenovo with on-line sales happening at random times.
Their blog also has an interesting discussion about changing their pricing model from the zillion preconfigured models IBM offered to one model number which you can then customize to order (CTO). Only available in the US so far.
